Anniversary

Monday marked the 5th anniversary of our arrival in Ghana. Anniversaries are a funny thing in this line of work.  We have the date when we were appointed as LBT missionaries (January 2006)  and then there is the date we landed in Ghana (January 16, 2007) but we were in the USA for 18 months while Paul worked on his Master’s degree. When people ask how long we’ve been in Ghana, I automatically say “Five years”.  In reality, it’s been less than that because of our time in the US.  For the sake of simplicity, let’s just celebrate this as our 5th year serving as missionaries in Ghana. But don’t jump to any congratulations, yet. Remember that this is a team effort. We don’t come here alone and we certainly don’t stay here alone. It is you who have sent us and you who help to sustain us here by providing us with support in many ways.  Keep those prayers coming!

Happy 5th Anniversary, team! We are blessed to be in ministry with you.

  1. Happy fifth anniversary. Thanks for always being there for my son. I know five years have not always been easy, but you both seem to make the best of all that is put before you.

  2. It seems like yesterday and it seems like forever that you have been in this ministry. We couldn’t be more proud of you or more thankful for the work you have been called to do. You are an inspiration to all those who support and serve with you.

  3. Wow! Dan and I just celebrated 5 years of marriage and I can’t believe that means you’ve been serving for that long too! Time flies and yet halts…our God is good and gracious…he smiles down on all of us and gives us the blessings we need for each day! Congrats!
