The first word that I could think of to describe Windows RT on the Surface, and still the best word that I have come up with is fluid. As I mentioned in a previous post, the Windows 8 app design does not think in terms of screen size, but rather just flows off the edge of the screen. I was actually very impressed with the hardware of the Surface RT. This surprised me since I already had an iPad and Apple is well known for their high quality hardware. The Surface RT felt solid and light. What is really interesting is that when holding the Surface and the iPad at the same time I can tell that the Surface is heavier, but when separated the Surface feels lighter. There are probably hundreds of reviews of the Microsoft Surface RT already out there. Most of them are looking at it from a pretty broad angle, but no review takes place in a vacuum.
